Yes, you read that right. I am reviewing a hair scrub! As I wrote in this post, The Body Shop launched quite a few new products last month and of them all, I was most intrigued by the Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Cleansing Hair Scrub. I’ve never heard of a hair scrub before let alone use one so you can imagine how curious I was when I got my hands on the product. This is what it is supposed to do.

Review
Essentially, this product is for people with normal to oily hair and scalp. Japanese green tea, mint and salt works to remove not only dirt and grime but also product buildup and keeps the hair squeaky clean. Honey soothes and moisturizes.
The scrub comes in a tub with a wide opening which is great for getting your hands in when you’re in the shower. Make sure to put your finger in and scoop out from the bottom so you get hold of the scrub that lies beneath a layer of shampoo. Yes, my pretties. This genius product is not just a scrub. It also has shampoo in it so you don’t have to separately scrub and shampoo your hair.
A little goes a long way with this one. One tablespoonful is enough if you have short to medium length hair. As you work the product in circular motions, the scrub begins to spread around the scalp evenly. The salt gives it the right level of abrasiveness and it slowly starts to dissolve and the product starts to lather. So once the scrubbing is done, the shampoo comes in to do its work and all you then need to do is just rinse it off and follow up with a conditioner to prevent dryness.
After using the Green Tea Scrub, my hair feels squeaky clean and my scalp feels refreshed. No oiliness, no residue or product buildup. If you have very dry hair, you can use it once a week. If you have normal to oily hair and scalp, you can use it more times. And on other days, you can use the Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Shampoo and Conditioner, also new from the brand
I’m very impressed with The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Cleansing Hair Scrub. It is expensive but the product works and is good for the health of my hair. Definitely give it a try and if you do, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
