After three years of its launch in the US, Maybelline has finally come out with the Colorsensational Vivid range of lipsticks in India! Well, not all of them and the colors are also not exactly the same as what is available in the US but atleast we now have access to four lovely bright shades – Neon Pink, Scarlet Red, Rosy Orange and the one I bought, Violet Pink. These lipsticks are priced at Rs 475 each and I got mine from NewU.
My Maybelline New York Summer Essentials
When the temperature is 43 degrees, the last thing you want to do is put on tons of makeup. Forget foundation, concealer etc, I’ve been surviving pretty much only on three products – kajal or liner, compact powder and lipstick or a lip balm. And what are my favorites? Maybelline’s Colossal Kajal which I’ve been using for years now, Baby Lips lip balm because it keeps my lips moisturised and also adds a hint of color and the White Super Fresh compact in the shade Coral. I like this compact for summer because it is lightweight, provides decent coverage and the best part is that it mattifies the skin and keeps it oil and sweat free. And it is priced at only Rs 150!

Maybelline Baby Lips Spiced Up Lip Balms In Tropical Punch & Spicy Cinnamon – Review, FOTD
Maybelline New York’s Baby Lips range has been a big favorite of mine and I’ve tried every variant that has been launched till date. My favorite though will have to be 2015’s launch, Baby Lips Spiced Up, available in three flavors – Berry Sherbet, Tropical Punch and Spicy Cinnamon. And what’s great is that this range has been tailor made for Indian consumers only!
Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks Reb 01 & Reb 02 – Review, Swatches, FOTD
This Spring/Summer, it’s all about the pastels and these pastels are ready to rebel! Maybelline’s Summer 2015 collection is called Rebel Bouquet and consists of :
- The Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Collection lipsticks
- The Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation
- The Dream Satin Skin Powder (Two Way Cake) and
- The Color Show Go Graffiti Nail Colors
From this collection, I’ve got a couple of lipsticks and three Go Graffiti nail colors. In this post, I’ll talk about the lipsticks REB 01, a beautiful red with very fine shimmer and REB 02, a bright pink.
- 6 new shades
- Flirty, edgy and fresh floral shades
- Pure pastel bright pigments
- Gives crisp and rick color
- Has color bloom technology with a honey nectar formula
- Texture of creamy and soft lips
- Price: Rs.450
Packaging – The normal Color Sensational square packaging with the red plastic cap and again, with no names. Why Maybelline??
Texture – Creamy, soft and goes on really smooth on the lips. They are well pigmented and a couple of swipes give good opaque coverage. Because of the creamy texture, they do transfer but they also do not dry out lips.
Finish – Glossy finish that give lips a plumped up look.
Staying Power – About 2-3 hours on me
Overall Thoughts – The colors that I have are really not pastel. One is a bright red and the other a bright pink. Both colors are beautiful, will look great on any skin tone and perfect for summer but there is nothing different about them. I would have liked to see some variety in the lipstick shades of this collection. Some of the Rebel Bloom lipsticks that Maybelline launched in the US were so pretty. In terms of quality, these are wonderful. Creamy and feels comfortable on the lips. Since I’m going through a major “I love gloss” phase right now, I’m loving the shiny finish. Wish they lasted for some more hours.
Out of the two shades I have, my favorite is REB 02 and I can see myself wearing it very often this summer. Which one did you like? And, did you get anything from the Maybelline Rebel Bouquet collection? Do share in the comments below.
