This is Memebox‘s ninth collaboration with a beauty guru and possibly one of the best till date. Sorry Soothing Sista, I had no idea who you were before Memebox gave out details about the collab but you have done a great job in selecting the products. I am loving everything about this box. From the cute artwork to the products inside. The box focusses primarily on skincare but there’s also a primer and a lovely matte lipstick included for all makeup addicts. What I loved about the box is that all the products will work (hopefully!) on my normal-dry skin and I’ve heard very good reviews of most of them specially the Steam Balm, Primer and the Serum. Memebox Special #17 K-Style Box – Unboxing, Review and an FOTD

Yes yes another Memebox and this time it only includes makeup. Korean style makeup to be precise. My knowledge about the K-style look is minimal so I got curious and wanted to find out what products can be used to achieve that look. After buying the box, I was praying that I don’t get stuff that makes me look like a ghost. Thankfully, I can use everything that’s in this box.

The goods.

Bbia Pigment 1.8g, ($5) – I got the shade Sweet, a very pretty dark pinkey bronze color. I rarely use pigment because it gets all over the place but Sweet is just too sweet to not use.

Awesome Aqua Radiance CC Cream 30ml, ($29) – This one I was worried about the most. Thankfully, the CC cream does not make my face white. It blends into my complexion and gives a very nice finish.

RiRe Luxe Auto Gel Eyeliner Champagne and Choco Brown, ($14 each) – The colors are quite nice. One is a shimmery dark chocolate brown and the other a lighter champagne. I was expecting the liners to be soft but they are quite stiff and don’t go on very smooth. On the lids it’s fine but not that great for the lower lash line. Wear time is great though. I wore the chocolate brown yesterday and it stayed put for nearly 10 hours!

A’Pieu Full of Nature Mascara 4.3g ($3) – Haven’t used it yet but a mascara is always welcome. Goes into my travel kit.

Shara Shara Feminine Single Blusher, ($7) – I got the shade Warm Apricot, a light matte peach. And how cute is the packaging! I didn’t think the color would show up on my skin at all but it does. Not full on but it gives a nice wash of peach to my cheeks.

Secret Key Sweet Glam Tint Glow 3.5g, ($24) – Got the shade Fuchsia Purple and I love it. It is a moisturising lip tint and quite creamy on the lips. Does not stay for long but I like the feel.

This was Memebox’s first collaboration with a beauty blogger (they have done two more after after this and all are sold out) and while I had no clue who Pink Diary was, I bought the box because I found the products quite interesting. There was no surprise element because I already knew what I was getting inside but as always it is a treat to open a Memebox and must say, I really like this one.

Love the packaging of this box. It is like a pretty present waiting to be opened. Inside the box along with the product information card is a note from Sharon, the blogger behind The Pink Diary, a lifestyle blog documenting her personal style and inspiration.

Memebox X The Pink Diary Collaboration Box

Banila Co. Prime Primer Classic ($22) – A major reason why I bought this box. Banila Co. is a leading Korean beauty brand and this primer is said to be a cult favorite. The primer claims to smoothen unevenness in skin texture by filling in fine lines and enlarged pores and also prevents skin from getting oily. Excited to try it out.

Tosowoong Black Sugar Facial Scrub ($12) – Another product from a popular brand. This is all natural and made from sugar, sunflower seed oil and other minerals and vitamins. I love a good scrub so eager to see whether this does leave my face glowing with a natural radiance.

L.vida Nail Polish Baby Angel ($6) – A very pretty color but this might not go too well with my complexion.

Hope Girl Tinted Lip Balm Strawberry ($12) – I love the look of this lip balm. Goes on very sheer but has a nice strawberry smell. One can never have too many lip balms so definitely using this.

Croquis Lip & Blush Pink Brown ($17) – This is a crayon and can be used both as a lip color and blush. The color is really pretty but way too light for me. As a blush, it will hardly show up on my NC 43.5 complexion so will use it as a lip tint.

Croquis Eye shadow & Blush Goldy Brown ($17) – This crayon can be used as an eye shadow and a blush. The color is a metallic golden brown and while it’s great as an eye shadow, don’t think as a blush it will be appropriate. Maybe as a highlighter. Memebox suggests blending it with a darker brown eye shadow and a liner for a gold brown gradated look. So glad they included a sharpener as well with these crayons.

This box has a total value of $86 and while it is not a lot compared to some of the other boxes, I really like the choice of products. Can see myself using all of them.
