The Oberoi Grand (8th – 11th Oct)
A delectable buffet spreads await you at Kolkata’s ultimate hospitality and dining address over lavish lunches and sumptuous dinners on all four days of the Pujas! From fish-lovers to vegetarians, meat-eaters to those with a sweet-tooth, Executive Chef Saurav Banerjee and his team have suprises galore for everyone.
Don’t miss the mild and heavenly shuktos, the ubiquitious chops, fritters, bhatey, poda, bhaja, makha, kabirajis and cutlets for starters, the fragrant vegetarian and non-vegetarian dals, myriad chutneys and salads alongwith the inimitable classics like Golda Chingri Malai Kari (Jumbo Prawns in coconut gravy), Shorshe Ilish (Hilsa in mustard paste), Kosha Mangsho (slow cooked lamb), Tel Koi (Climbing Perch in mustard oil), Chitol Macher Muittha (Clown Knifefish cakes in gravy) and similar stellar highlights. Homemade Bengali sweets are also a part of the daily buffet and provide the perfect touch of home-style Bangaliana to the feast. Each day of the festival has a different menu offering.
On October 8-10, there will be lunch (12.30pm to 3pm) and dinner (7pm to 11.30pm) buffet; on October 11, there will be a Bijoya buffet.

Sonargaon – Discover the nuances of authentic traditional Bengali cuisine as you savour a Bengali Thali. The large platter is served with portions of different dishes like Bhaja Moong Dal (Bengal lentils tempered with cumin ginger and finished with ghee), Chingri Malai Curry (Prawn curry cooked in onion &coconut gravy), Sorse Bata Ilish (Hilsa fish cooked in mustard gravy), Kosha Mangsho (Lamb cooked in rich silken gravy) and Bhapa Misti Doi (Saffron flavored baked sweetened curd).
The Chingri and Hilsa Thali is priced Rs 2,700-plus. There’s also Aamish Thali for Rs 2,500 and Niramish Thali for Rs 2,200.
