A few days back, Garnier got in touch and informed that they were launching a new face wash in June and if I would be willing to test it and share my thoughts with all of you. I said yes and they sent me the new Garnier PureActive Neem+Tulsi High Foaming Face Wash. The product will be available in two sizes – 100 gm and 50 gm and priced at Rs 105 and Rs 60 respectively.
The Neem+Tulsi High Foaming Face Wash is primarily meant for oily and acne prone skin and is said to contain the goodness of two acne busters – Neem and Tulsi. Garnier claims that the product fights oil and removes 99.9% pimple germs. Now, touchwood, my skin is not acne prone but in summer, it does get slightly oily and I can see a few pimples popping up here and there. I’ve been using the High Foaming Face Wash for a few days now both in the morning and at night. I don’t know if it is due to the face wash but I’ve not seen any breakouts yet which is a very good sign.
This is actually Garnier’s second face wash in the PureActive range to fight pimples. They already have a Neem Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil. The difference between the two is in the packaging, ingredients and the new High Foaming Technology which the previous variant does not have.
Garnier PureActive Neem+Tulsi High Foaming Face Wash is a liquid face wash and comes in a bottle with a flip-top cap. The liquid is green in color and I like that they made the bottle transparent. It looks nice. I also like the fresh neem tulsi fragrance.
In terms of texture, this face wash feels almost slippery on the skin. Even though it is a liquid, I feel the texture is very close to that of a gel face wash. It lathers really well so you need only a tiny amount. I like my cleansers to be foamy so this gets a thumbs up from me. The face wash cleanses really well and leaves the skin clean and refreshed which feels great in this horribly hot and humid weather. Since the face wash claims to fight oil and I have dry skin, I was apprehensive of it making my skin really dry after rinsing off. Thankfully, it does not so not just oily skin beauties, anyone can use it.
The new Garnier PureActive Neem+Tulsi High Foaming Face Wash is a good face wash at a very reasonable price. It is gentle enough to be used everyday, does not dry out skin and cleanses well. I can’t rate its pimple fighting performance but I can say that as a summer face wash, I’m liking it.
