My mom is a very frank person. We share a bonding where we share almost everything. My mom is not really a makeup addict or parlour sick person. She does go to the parlour for hair cuts only.Even if a marraige party is arround ,everyone hits the parlour ,my mom seldoms does.I have seen mom using home ingredients for facial or e.t.c
The momment i want to share is during my cousin’s marraige all my aunts went to parlours i was a little busy to waste 5 hrs there. So far i was the one who requested for such thing .I cannot expess in words how happy i was when mom came up and said she was feeling shy to accompany aunts and hit the parlour. She wanted me to do her makeup and said “parlour er moto korish kintu” .It was the first time i used my hair straightner to groom mom’s hair ,she felt the heat and immedietely said ” tor haate lagbe to” (its gonna hurt your hands) so lovely moms are.Though i applied serum before straitening still she was not concerned that the heat might damage hair, but cared for my hands instead.
Everyone praised my beautiful mom and she did not hesitate to give the credit to me her would be architect ,singer daughter who is amature MUA .lol:D
My career is soully a reflection of her devotion she made me what i am.My mom is not much a western music fan.Infact she hardly encourages me wen i sing western numbers.
That day on my cousins marraige,we bengalees have a ritual called “bashor jaga” .Bashor is basically a a ritual where grooms friends ,siblings cousins along with brides friends ,siblings and cousins enjoy the night and entertain the newly married couple with music, entertaing games and sharing jokes. So i was ready for my cousin’s bashor and mom and dad were leaving the ceremony hall as they were not staying up out there. So i gave mom a good night hug and before i left she told me ” show them that you are not the one just know robi thakur show that you are my Madonna”
That was really something i heard and my ears could’nt believe. My mom who brought me up with and ideal music has no exposure beyond robi thakur lalon fakir and vimsen joshi .My mom happens to know Madonna!! I was astounded she took look at the my shoes and said “do not attempt to copy Jackson ”
Well i cant explain how amazed i was and relieved too.I was loving the feeling that mom is not really discouraging my love for western music. That firstime i felt how awesome it feels sometimes to be proven wrong.
And the proud daughter gve mom a goodnight hug .And told my self she is the most mordern person on earth .I have always believed my father’s choice blindly in every aspect of life and that day i got a solid reason to stick to Dad’s choice . Coz my mom’s the best mom

Your Presence Makes Me Feel Special
==============================
The day I had come into this world
You have made me feel cuddled
You taught me to love , you taught me to share
Because somewhere in my heart I knew
That you were always there
Holding my hand whenever I needed,
My all the needs, its you who heeded
Loving you from the bottom of my heart
Caring for you can be my greatest regard
In the night I used to cry for you,
The warmth of your hands, acted as dew
Your presence makes me feel special,
My hands on your lap and your hands playing with my hair
Sleep my child…. Sleep my child
With Love…I could here
Day’s passed, time changed, I grew
But MOM…our love for each other is true
It will never fake
It will never fade
Although we are a little away
But our love will never sway.

There might have been many days when I and mom enjoyed our laughter and tears. All the time spent with her will have special place in my heart. But the day I got married was my most memorable moment with my mom. That event just changed entire equation between both of us. She has been caring, loving, understanding always. but Before marriage I would easily take my mom for granted. Just the feeling of not being with her everyday changed everything that day. I started feeling more caring and concerned for her after that.

The person who has been the role model in my life is my mother! She has taught me all I need to know to live life as a teenage girl. She taught me how to feel. Well, she did not only do that. She showed me how to handle these feelings of anger, fear, guilt, joy, sadness, excitement, hate and anxiety. She also showed me how to give and take. I learned from her that giving is a lot harder than taking, but the former is much more satisfying when it is done. She told me that giving makes one happy. I am sure she is right because half of her life, she has been giving me what I need, and in spite of all that years of giving, she is happy. Though very slowly, I am learning how to give freely.

Hi Dear,
Thank You for coming up with such a lovely giveaway.
I will try my best to win this for my mom <3
I have one precious memory with my mom that I would love to share with you.
I still remember the day I was awaiting my results of the H.S.C. Board. My father had great expectations from me & he wanted me to become a doctor. To my surprise I came to know that I had failed. I was devastated. I could not gather the guts to say this to my dad who was quite confident that I would get into a good medical college. I didn't know how mom would react hearing this as she had spent sleepless nights helping me with my projects. But I somehow managed to tell her the truth & burst into tears. I had thought of giving up this stupid life. To my surprise my mom gave me a comforting smile and hugged me. She told me something that day that I still couldn't forget. She told that " Dear Beti, I am glad that you told me the truth. I know that you are a brave girl & would never give up in life. You are mama's & papa's most treasured asset. Don't you ever think of ending your life. Always remember..Either do the things you love or start loving the things you do". This positive attitude has always inspired me be to be successful in life & I have never looked back. Since that day my mom is my best friend & I have always shared everything with her.
I hope you like my treasured memory. I would really love to win this contest & get her the best outfit she truly deserves <3
I have followed all the rules & looking forward to winning.

I would like to share my Mom’s funny moments. My mom is a traditional person & hence she doesn’t like me hugging her. Every time I hug her she says to stay away from her & I should stop doing that. But then one fine day again as I was going out I hugged her to say, ‘bye’ But the minute I hugged her she started shouting asking my dad to come to rescue her. That same very evening after we had dinner as I was reading a book sitting besides her. She said to me slowly to get married. I wondered why & asked her the reason for saying that. She then told me, ‘If you want to hug some one everyday you can do it to your husband as I am not a modern mom to get hugged by you. I just don’t like it!’ As I heard that I just couldn’t stop laughing. This was like 10 years ago but till date I remember this & it makes me laugh & very happy. Whatever it may be I just totally love my mom. She is the SuperBest of all! It’s real fun & a complete joy to have a mom like that 🙂

My favorite moment with Mom 🙂 she doesnt really take care of her well being and does all the work. She loves working ! One day I showed her my nailpaint collection and she liked the shades so much. I saw that spark in her eyes when she looked at it… Just like we get when we see something desirable… That minute I could she the teenage girl in her who loves doing such things.. but she somehow suppressed it and I felt a lil bad.. I asked her if she would like to use some of the nailpaints.. and she said no..I have dirty fingers and my nails aren’t filed.. I said it’s okay.. file it. I used red carpet glitter mania on her fingers.. i wanted her to use red because she’s a widow and I’m rebellious.. I dont get it why widows can’t use the colour red.. not like people constantly taunt her but once my aunty told her she’s not supposed to use red..(she wears pinks and all other colours but not red) she liked the colour but was hesitating but being a rebel, I applied the nailpaint anyway.. and she loved it.. and she didnt even care 🙂 this time when my aunty saw the red nailpaint..she didn’t say a word.
As she knew I was all set to give her answer. 🙂 and I’m encouraging my mum to get a few clothes in red for herself too.. I somehow felt that women of this age group who are busy with household chores and upbringing of children don’t get time to do all these things.. the old generation of women also feel like doing the things we young girls do.. but most of them suppress that desire..so I thought its my duty to make her feel good.. and now she is all set to rock my other nailpaints too 😀 I’m helping her break the taboo and this moment is and always will be special for me 🙂

Hi,
Way back in 1996 we were searching for a flat in Pune, my hometown. Once me and my Mom were talking our evening strolls and unexpectedly came across a notice at the building that xyz person on second floor wants to sell their flat. Overwhelmed and happy with the unexpected ray of hope made my Mom hyper. We went to the second floor but the flat was locked. So we thought of enquiring the neighbours. My Mom rang the bell and asked “Is there a flat vacant on third floor?” instead of asking “on this floor”. The woman who opened the door calmly said “This building is only 2 storeyed”. My Mom astonishingly looked at her while I started to leave the place. By the time we came down, we both burst into laughter not bothering about what people might think about us. Till date we have no idea whether the flat was vacant on which floor and what the lady might be thinking. Even today I tease my Mom about this incident and my Mom first scolds me then herself bursts into laughter. Whenever we both remember this incident we both have a hearty laugh. And now whenever we pass that building we suppress our laughter.

This incident happened when I was in my 10th. My mother and I have a very similar voice, so its kind of difficult for people to differentiate us over the phone. There was a guy in my class who had managed to get my landline number through a common friend of mine( those days we weren’t given cell phones in school). He called at my place, and conveniently mistook my mom’s voice to be mine. My mom on the other hand dint correct him too. He went to the extent of saying that how he had a crush since 8th standard and how difficult it was for him to finally get the guts to propose me. The whole time I stood red with embarrassement hearing his voice through the speaker . Finally my mom revealed to him who actually was over the phone, and that was the last day I heard his voice. Yes, I got a bonus 1.5 hrs advice on studies , love and career Etc :-), but thank god she didn’t mention about it to dad. But now as years have passed we have turned into friends, it now seems much more meaningful than it ever was.

I think this would be the time when I was in love with the ad of Videocon washing machine, and so, put detergent and clothes straight inside my mom’s water filter. When ma came to fill it up with water, there was nothing but bubbles and soapy water in the bottle. She immediately knew it was me, and as soon as I heard my name being called, I sprinted and hid under the bed, knowing that I was safe because she won’t bow down to look.
