Packaging – The packaging of the powder is something I do not like. Even though it’s quite small and can be slipped into any small clutch, the packaging itself is quite flimsy. Doubt if it can withstand the hardship of travel unless packed securely. I say that because the sample I received came all the way from Delhi and when I opened one of the powders, the mirror fell off. Thankfully it did not break else would have been quite a disaster!
My Thoughts on the Product – I have been using the Illuskin Powder regularly for some time and I quite like it. The powder is available in three shades – Light, Medium and Dark and the one that is perfect for my skin tone is Dark. While Light and Medium will work on the lighter skin tones, Oriflame should have made another shade for skin tones above NC 43. Dark will not work on those skin tones.
I like that the powder feels silky smooth on the skin and does a great job in setting foundation and evening out skin tone when used on its own. The lightweight formula blends into the skin and does not leave any patches or a white cast. The powder gives medium coverage and is great for daily wear. It won’t cover up all the blemishes completely but you do see an even and radiant complexion. I like that it gives a matte finish yet does not make the skin dry. The powder lasts on me for about 4-5 hours before re-applying.
The price of the powder is on the higher side but Oriflame always comes out with great offers and discounts where you can get the products at a lesser price. For daily wear, the Oriflame Illuskin Powder can be a good option. It provides medium coverage, gives a matte finish and in general makes the skin look healthy and radiant.
