: Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Collection Lipsticks REB01 & REB02

This Spring/Summer, it’s all about the pastels and these pastels are ready to rebel! Maybelline’s Summer 2015 collection is called Rebel Bouquet and consists of :

The Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Collection lipsticks
The Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation
The Dream Satin Skin Powder (Two Way Cake) and
The Color Show Go Graffiti Nail Colors

From this collection, I’ve got a couple of lipsticks and three Go Graffiti nail colors. In this post, I’ll talk about the lipsticks REB 01, a beautiful red with very fine shimmer and REB 02, a bright pink.

Maybelline REB01 & REB02

The Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks are bold and rebellious pastels that consist of the trendiest shades of this Spring/Summer.

Texture of creamy and soft lips

Maybelline REB01 & REB02 Swatches

Packaging – The normal Color Sensational square packaging with the red plastic cap and again, with no names. Why Maybelline??

Texture – Creamy, soft and goes on really smooth on the lips. They are well pigmented and a couple of swipes give good opaque coverage. Because of the creamy texture, they do transfer but they also do not dry out lips.

Finish – Glossy finish that give lips a plumped up look.

Staying Power – About 2-3 hours on me

Overall Thoughts – The colors that I have are really not pastel. One is a bright red and the other a bright pink. Both colors are beautiful, will look great on any skin tone and perfect for summer but there is nothing different about them. I would have liked to see some variety in the lipstick shades of this collection. Some of the Rebel Bloom lipsticks that Maybelline launched in the US were so pretty. In terms of quality, these are wonderful. Creamy and feels comfortable on the lips. Since I’m going through a major “I love gloss” phase right now, I’m loving the shiny finish. Wish they lasted for some more hours.

What’s New at The Body Shop for Christmas 2014?

The Body Shop 2014 Christmas Special Range

I was at the mall earlier today and while passing by The Body Shop store saw this year’s Christmas special limited edition range. During this time, The Body Shop always comes out with a Vanilla and Cranberry range and this year is no different. There is Vanilla Brulee and Frosted Cranberry to choose from. What’s new is the Glazed Apple range and it smells delicious! I spent quite some time at the store testing a few products and it was hard deciding what to buy. So what did I pick up? Every year during this time I make it a point to get one body butter from their vanilla range and I continued the tradition this year as well. From the Glazed apple range, I actually liked quite a few products. The hand cream, shower gel, body and room spray were really tempting but at the end I settled for the shower gel. Now, I’m kinda wanting the body spray too so might go back and get that one. Try it out. It smells delicious!

Asian Hot Pot Specialties at Pan Asian, ITC Sonar

An invite to savour the many flavours of the Asian Hot Pot at Pan Asian, ITC Sonar got me quite excited last week. During my travels to Singapore and Thailand, the one meal I always look forward to is a good sea food broth and I was hoping that I would get to taste one at Pan Asian too. And boy was I happy after the meal!

All November, Pan Asian smokes with the classic flavours of the traditional
HOT POT, part of a homely east Asian tradition designed to encourage
communal dining. Into a simmering cauldron of stock are added sliced meats,
seafood and vegetables accompanied with an assortment of dipping sauces,
Chef’s salad and steamed rice.

At Pan Asian one can savour the mysteries of east Asia in a journey that
begins with Thai Tom Yum, followed by Shabo Shabo from the Land of the
Rising Sun, Japan, Hot Pot from the remote and rustic Mongolia and Heomool

Launch of The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth Range in Kolkata

Last Thursday saw The Body Shop launching the newest addition to the Nutriganics range- The Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate. The official launch was done by the TBS ambassador Jaqueline Fernandez at the City Centre 1 store in the afternoon and knowing the media and crowd frenzy that would take place, chose to skip it and attend the blogger’s meet scheduled for the evening. TBS is well known for organising fun meets and this was no different. There was good food, fun activities and a lot of opportunities to take photos.
