MAC is out with bunch of new products in July. I shared with you the review of Hot Chocolate, one of the lipsticks from the Vibe Tribe collection. Another collection that is now in stores is Transformed and it includes six new shades of the Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks and Huggable Lipsticks. I was not really planning on buying anything from the collection but I saw a friend of mine wearing this beautiful bright red and I had to get it. The shade was MAC Red Jade, a new Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick priced at Rs 1800.
After reading so many reviews, watching videos and hearing my friend rave about them, I finally jumped on the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick bandwagon. I got three shades – Gemini, Celebrity Skin and the latest, Rich Blood. The lipsticks are priced at $18 and available at jeffreestarcosmetics.com. They ship to India and no, I have not paid customs for these.
Do you remember a segment on KBC called Fastest Finger First? Keep that in mind when trying to get one of these. The lipsticks are always sold out on the website and when Jeffree does a restock, women all over the world go CRAZY. They are all gone in less than 5 minutes but thankfully, I have Shikha aka Sorelle Grapevine by my side and she has never come back empty handed! Respect!
I am obsessed with liquid lipstick and I’ve been hoarding these like crazy. One brand I tried out recently is Milani because I’ve heard such great things about their Amore Matte Lip Cremes. A friend of mine was coming over from the US and thankfully agreed to be the courier guy! The two shades of Lip Cremes I ordered are Obsession, a dark berry purple and Covet, a dark chocolate. These are priced at $8.99. While Milani is not available in India, you can get these from some Instagram sellers and even Ebay India stock their products.
It’s time to put your lipsticks on notice. The Amore Matte Lip Crème has arrived. This revolutionary, highly saturated liquid-to-matte formula dries to a soft, velvety finish for fuller-looking lips. Its double-sided, flexible plush applicator hugs the contours of lips, working to lock in bold, opaque color. Non-sticky, smooth and ready for all-night wear (up to 16 hours!) our Amore Matte Lip Crème is the ultimate transfer resistant kiss-me-matte.
The much awaited limited edition MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks launched in India last week (and most probably got sold out that day itself!). I managed to get my hands on two shades – Dance With Me, a deep cranberry red and Oh Lady, a dark purple wine. Read on to know what I think of them.
For those who prefer timeless glamour to all-out flash, matte reigns supreme. M∙A∙C introduces a twist on this classic texture with robustly saturated shades of Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour. Whichever shade you choose, all promise one thing: a splash of colour in a liquid-suede finish that is impossible to forget.

One of the most exciting launches of 2015 was definitely the Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks. At $6 (around Rs 400 when converted), they are one of the cheapest liquid lipsticks in the market. The only issue is availability in India. Colourpop does not ship to India so if you want to get their products, you have to rely on folks coming over from the US or local sellers. I’ve been wanting to try Colourpop for ages and without the help of S’s sister, it would have never been possible. Thank you so much Di for bringing them to me 🙂
