Slowly and steadily luxury brands are making their way to the City of Joy and the latest to open a store here is Burberry. Last week, I was invited by the brand to attend the official launch party hosted by Madhu Neotia at the Quest Mall store and I had a great time. The previous day at the Villeroy & Boch event, me and fellow bloggers Shayoni and Pooja were having a very serious conversation about what we should wear. The crème de la crème of Kolkata were supposed to attend so naturally it was quite a valid point to discuss. At one time, I thought of wearing a saree but decided against it and wore a dress from AND. The dress was beige so I kept the makeup quite subtle. Went for dewy face, brown on the eyes and bright red on the lips. And if it is bright red, it has to be Ruby Woo!

Last month Oriflame launched The ONE range of makeup with foundation, concealer and mascara. This month’s launch includes six shades of the Colour Impact Cream Eyeshadow and the Illuskin powder compact. In this post, I’ll review the cream shadows and show you swatches of all the shades.
The ONE Colour Impact cream shadows are available in eight shades :
Deep Indigo – a deep denim shade
Golden Brown – a dark bronze with golden and copper shimmer
Intense Plum – a mix of plum and dark purple
Olive Green – an olive green with a hint of gold shimmer
Rose Gold – a rose gold with light silver shimmer. In terms of pigmentation, this one is the weakest.
Shimmering Steel – a mix of navy and grey with blue micro shimmer.
The Colour Impact Cream Eyeshadows are priced at Rs 449 each and have a cream to powder finish. The colors are gorgeous and perfect for smokey eyes. I love the formula of these shadows. They are incredibly creamy, light and a breeze to apply. They blend easily and once set, does not budge or crease and also act as a great base for powder shadows. You can go sheer or layer the shadow to get more intense color. I’m very impressed by these eye shadows and I think you will love them too. The price is slightly on the higher side but Oriflame always comes out with great offers so keep a watch for that.
Olive Green and Deep Indigo are my favourite colors out of the six. Which ones did you like?

An invite to savour the many flavours of the Asian Hot Pot at Pan Asian, ITC Sonar got me quite excited last week. During my travels to Singapore and Thailand, the one meal I always look forward to is a good sea food broth and I was hoping that I would get to taste one at Pan Asian too. And boy was I happy after the meal!
All November, Pan Asian smokes with the classic flavours of the traditional
HOT POT, part of a homely east Asian tradition designed to encourage
communal dining. Into a simmering cauldron of stock are added sliced meats,
seafood and vegetables accompanied with an assortment of dipping sauces,
Chef’s salad and steamed rice.
At Pan Asian one can savour the mysteries of east Asia in a journey that
begins with Thai Tom Yum, followed by Shabo Shabo from the Land of the
Rising Sun, Japan, Hot Pot from the remote and rustic Mongolia and Heomool
Jungol from Korea, the Land of the Morning Calm.
If you are following me on Facebook and Instagram, you will know that I spent last weekend in Mumbai attending Parachute Advansed Knowledge Centre’s Art of Oiling event. In today’s hectic lifestyle, we rarely spend time oiling our hair. When I was a kid, my mum used to religiously oil my hair at least twice a week but now, I can’t even remember the last time I did it. I’m sure that’s the case with pretty much all of us and the sad part is that we are ignoring the benefits an oil massage can give us. And that’s where Parachute has stepped in. In an effort to rediscover this fading art, Parachute Advansed Knowledge Center (PAKC) along with international massage expert Moses Chundi have developed a signature line of ‘Do It Yourself’ (DIY) massages. ‘Art of Oiling’ provides rejuvenation with quick & easy 10 minute massage techniques. Its benefits range from de-stressing, relaxing, energizing and adding an instant glow on the face!
