Review & Swatches
I am not at all a lip gloss person but these colors looked so pretty that I had to try at least a few. Out of all the finishes, I was particularly attracted to Creme and Ultra-Metallic because they looked the most pigmented. Got Tokyo Tea which is a Creme finish and Cheat Code and Wolfie which are ultra-metallics.
Tokyo Tea – is a bright coral-red shade and the color is very close to Naked Ladies from the Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick range. The texture is very smooth and pigmentation is really good. I like that the gloss is not heavy and sticky and is quite comfortable to wear. The shine wears off after a couple of hours but it leaves a nice, balmy stain. To get more out of the gloss, I first fill in my lips with a neutral lip pencil or lipstick and then apply the gloss. That way, the color lasts longer.
Cheat Code – Since I am obsessed with anything metallic right now, I had to get this color which is like a rich, molten copper. Pigmentation is excellent and it has the same smooth, non-sticky texture.
Wolfie – Get the Ultra-Metallic glosses if you want maximum pigmentation. Wolfie is a beautiful metallic plum with golden iridescence. This color is great for Indian skin tones.
For $6, these glosses are really good! Have you tried any of the ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lips? Do share your thoughts on these in the comments below.
