A makeup collection inspired by chocolate and created by Etude House. That combo I did not want to miss so placed an order at Jolse.com for one of the eye shadows from the Give Me Chocolate collection. This is a limited edition collection launched for Valentine’s Day and consists of a few nail polishes and three eye shadow duos, packaged to look like chocolate bars. There are three shades of these eye shadow duos – Salted Caramel, Cacao Fudge and Cherry Truffle priced at $8.50 each and I got the last one.
Etude House and cute packaging go hand in hand so yes, these do look very cute or ‘kawaii’, as they say now. If you look at the outer box, you can never imagine that it does not have chocolate but eye shadow inside. The eye shadows themselves come in little flip-up plastic pans and have a chocolate bar imprint on them. Cuteness overload!
Cherry Truffle consists of a matte light coral pink and a dark shimmery brown shadow. I would not say that the shadows have excellent pigmentation because I need to swipe them on a few times to get good color on my dark skin, specially the coral. If you have lighter skin, it would show up better on you. However, the colors are pretty, suitable for everyday wear and the pan is quite handy to slip into the bag for touch ups. I”ll admit that I bought it mostly for the packaging so I’m quite happy 🙂
Check out jolse.com if you want to buy these cuties but not sure if they are still available or sold out.
