The March 2015 edition of My Envy Box is a Women’s Day special and the folks have graciously offered a 15% discount on any full size product with the code ‘ENVYWOMEN‘. This month, the products have been packed inside a pretty sea-green box and these are what I got.
Givenchy Dahlia Divin Perfume Sample (50 ml Rs 6775/75 ml Rs 8275) – I always look forward to the perfume samples inside the My Envy Box and this month’s selection is a lovely floral, woody fragrance from Givenchy. I personally love these intense woody fragrances and Dahlia Divin is ‘Divine’!
Babor Extra-firming Cream (50 ml – Rs 11,999) – Yes, you read the price right! This specially formulated treatment cream is supposed to improve and strengthen skin elascticity and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Looking forward to trying out the three samples but I don’t think I’ll ever go for a cream that’s priced at nearly 12K. Atleast, not now.
Babor Intensive Repair Cream (50 ml – Rs 4900) – This very rich, deeply regenerative 24 hr moisturising cream is for intensive cell renewal and regeneration. The description sounds impressive. Let’s see how it turns out.
Babor Daily Calming Cream (50 ml – Rs 4999) – Another Babor product! This month, the box should have been renamed ‘The Babor Box’. The daily calming cream is meant for sensitive skin and it soothes redness and irritations. I don’t have redness (touch wood) so will probably give it away to someone who can use it.
Catrice Absolute Eye Colour (Rs 445) – At last, a makeup product in the box! I have not tried Catrice so looking forward to using the eye shadow. I got a bright matte purple color which I like. The packaging is quite disappointing though.
In terms of value, I think they did ok. The creams are all priced quite high and they gave quite a few samples. But at the end of the day they are sachets and they do not excite me. In terms of variety, it’s very poor this month. Three products are from the same brand and the creams are mostly for mature skin. For a young subscriber, apart from the eye shadow and the perfume sample, there is really nothing for her. Hopefully, My Envy Box will keep this in mind when they send out next month’s box.
