This was a much anticipated event. LeEco promised a peek into the future and boy did they live up to the expectations! I was there at the Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi on 8th June along with nearly 1500 super fans, influencers and media personnel to witness the launch of two new LeEco next generation smartphones – Le2 and LeMax2 and the launch of the e-commerce site LeMall.com. I got to experience both the phones first-hand at the event and all I can say is that they are sure going to give tough competition to all the high-end smartphones that are out there in the market today.
The grand event kick started with a brilliant violin performance by an all-female band who surprisingly played Bollywood songs and it was amazing! The stunning Mandira Bedi then took the stage to introduce Tin Mok, VP of Le Holdings and CEO, APAC who spoke about the various platforms of the LeEco ecosystem and thanked the 3.5 million superfans for their continuous support. He mentioned that LeEco is currently the best selling smartphone on Flipkart, selling over 5 lakh phones in just 100 days of its arrival! He also mentioned that the brand would make more phones under its ‘Make in India’ campaign.
Debashish Ghosh, COO Content then gave a glimpse of the content ecosystem, comprising of LeMusic, LeLive, LeVideo and many more. The content platform has over 2000 Hollywood, Bollywood and regional movies and they are also planning to live stream nearly 50+ concerts this year.
Before the unveiling of the two new phones, we were treated to a live performance of the official brand anthem by Pritam and Nakash Aziz. See the video below for behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the LeEco Brand Anthem and also check out what Pritam has to say about LeEco phones.
And then came the big moment. Atul Jain, COO of Smart Electronics Business, LeEco took the stage to discuss the new LeEco devices and talk about the lossless era that the company is trying to usher.
Here is a preview of the two new phones.
