Maybelline New York has expanded their Colossal family with the addition of the new Colossal Liner in black and new Colossal Kohl colors – Crushed Emerald, Jewelled Jade and Smoked Silver. I’ve been trying out the Liner and the Crushed Emerald kohl and this post is all about them.
My Thoughts On the Maybelline Colossal Liner :
I have wobbly hands so usually avoid liquid liners unless it’s in the ‘pen’ form. The Colossal Liner is really good. It gives an intense black color in just one swipe, dries instantly, the flexi tip is firm and drawing lines is really easy because you can manoeuvre the tip however you want to. The liner does not flake or smudge and I’ve seen it last on me for nine hours without fading. I prefer using kajal or pencil liner on my waterline so have not tried it out but I’m sure it won’t do too badly there as well. The packaging is stylish and it is small and light enough to be carried everywhere. I’m loving this liner and would definitely recommend it to all of you.
My Thoughts On the Crushed Emerald Colossal Kohl
The Colossal Kohl in black has been a favorite for many years. Last year, Maybelline launched a turquoise variant and they followed it up with three beautiful shades this year. Crushed Emerald is a gorgeous jewel toned emerald with a slight metallic sheen. On the eyes, the color looks stunning. On my upper lash line, Crushed Emerald stays for nearly 8-9 hours but on the waterline, it fades and smudges after 5-6 hrs and the color is also not as intense, which is slightly disappointing. Other than that, I have no complaints. The liner goes on smoothly, you can get a precise application due to the pointed tip and the color is beautiful. I hope Maybelline comes out with more colors of Colossal Kohl coz they are really good.
Here’s my FOTD with the Colossal Liner and Kohl. I’ve worn the liner on the upper lashline and the kohl on the lower lashline.
