If like me, you love matte red lipsticks, then this post is for you. I cannot stop going ga ga over this shade Passion in the new Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte lipstick range. There is a dearth of good matte lipsticks in the Indian beauty market and I’m so glad that Faces got these lipsticks out. Passion is a warm bright red. Packed with color, the pigmentation is awesome, texture smooth and creamy and the best thing is that it does not dry out the lips.
Passion is a color that can be carried off by any skin tone. I personally believe that women look the best in red lipstick and Passion makes that belief even stronger. The packaging reminds me of the MAC mattene lipsticks in their slim black tubes. Here, Faces with its really long name for the lipstick is inscribed on the black tube.
If you have pigmented lips, worry not coz Passion takes care of that easily. One swipe is enough to give you luscious and hot red lips. Super impressed with the quality. This matte just glides on the lips. No tugging or pulling at all. Its a true matte and the staying power is around 4-5 hours including light snacking. It does not dry out my lips but if you have super dry lips, use it on top of a balm to protect your puckers.
At Rs 599, I think this range is quite reasonable and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for matte lipsticks. If you want to try out a matte red but don’t want to spend on MAC or any high-end brand, Faces Ultime Pro in Passion is a very good option. Gorgeous color, creamy texture, pure matte finish and impressive staying power. Totally worth it!

Moonlit is a pretty shimmery navy blue, a color that goes very well with all skin tones and one that I personally love on my eyes. The Shine On Eyeliner is priced at a whopping Rs 699, and going by the price, I thought this would be some revolutionary product. How wrong was I!! Read on to know why I’m not too fond of Moonlit:
1. There is nothing much to say about the packaging. It comes in a blue shiny bottle with the color matching that of the liner. This is an advantage so you know exactly what you are buying. The long and sturdy handle also helps to work with this easily.
2. What I hate most about the liner is the applicator. This is supposed to have a felt tip applicator but it’s so stiff and hard that if you ever manage to poke your eye with it, be assured of at least semi-permanent damage. I have no idea whether I got a defective piece or whether all the applicators are this bad but I’m staying away from it for sure. The stiffness makes it very hard to draw a precise line or even try out other liner styles.
3. The texture is not runny but pigmentation is so disappointing. One swipe does nothing and I had to swipe at least three times to get decent color on my lids. And with that terrible applicator, it was definitely not an easy task! On the lids, the color does look nice though. Not too much glitter but a pretty shiny blue.
4. I won’t say that it’s all bad. The color dries up and sets in very fast so minimal waiting time to do the rest of the eye makeup. It does not smudge and lasts for a really long time. I have worn it to office and it stayed put for nearly 9 hours without any smudging or fading. Another good thing about this is that it did not sting my eyes so safe for those with sensitive eyes and it’s also pretty easy to remove. I use Johnson’s Baby Oil to remove eye makeup and it came off pretty easily.
5. The price is definitely not worth this eye liner. 699 is way too high for 2.5 ml and that too for a product that to me is pretty average. I’d rather invest in Inglot or any other brand.
There is also another shade in the Shine On Liner range, a pretty emerald green but I’m staying away from it after my disappointing experience with Moonlit. For me, it’s just not worth it!.

The Ultime Pro Nail Lacquer is is a long lasting and chip resistant nail polish. It comes in a high shine finish formula that applies smoothly and lasts longer and are priced at Rs 399. The shade Petunias is a gorgeous bright blue pink which is a must in every girl’s nail polish kitty. This is my first Faces nail polish and I’m very impressed by the quality. It applies smoothly, takes 2 coats to go opaque, formula is not runny and dries up within seconds of application, and gives a high shine finish. In the pictures, I’ve not used any base or top coat because I did not feel the need to. On my nails, the color lasted for 3 days before I noticed slight chipping on the tips. Even though the quality is top class, the price is pretty high and that’s my only stumbling block on the way to buying more of these. Would have bought the entire range if the price was kept low. Yep, the quality is really that good.
