Aahamori is the brainchild of Amrita, a Parsons School of Design graduate who seeks her inspiration from Frida Kahlo and Mexican fashion. Aahamori was officially launched in Kolkata at Maka Maka with a fashion show where models sashayed and swayed to Latino music wearing clothes and elaborate headgear that reflect the essence of Amrita’s designs – whimsical, boho-chic and fun to wear.
The collection includes dresses, tops and skirts in Ajrak block print fabric. Amrita is a big fan of handloom and block prints and incorporates the best of the East in her Western clothes. Here is a glimpse of the Aahamori fashion show. For more information on the collection, visit the website.
