Like every year, L’Oreal Paris is out with their special Cannes Makeup Collection and for 2015 the theme is Matte vs Gloss. We have the new Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks, Colour Riche Swarovski Moist Matte Lipsticks and the new Super Liner Gel Intenza.
The Colour Riche Extraordinare Liquid Lipsticks are a new launch priced at Rs 950 and available in 13 shades. These liquid lipsticks have a beautiful formula. They are lightweight, super glossy and stay on the lips for a long time. I have three shades – Coral Encore, Plum Quartet & Rose Symphony.
The Moist Mattes have been there for about a year now so the shades are not new. What is different is the special limited edition packaging. The lipstick is housed in a velvet box and Swarovski crystals are etched on the rose gold tube. Luxurious and classy! The special limited edition moist matte lipsticks are priced at Rs 1099 each. I have the shades Cherry Crush, a light cool toned pink and Arabian Nights, a dark wine.
The Super Liner Gel Intenza liners are new and available in five shades – Diamond Black, Profound Black, Royal Blue, Sapphire Blue & Chic Brown. These gel liners are fantastic! So pigmented, creamy, easy to apply and they do not budge. The Gel Intenza liners are priced at Rs 875 each. I received the shades Diamond Black – a black with silver shimmer, Royal Blue – a royal/navy blue with blue shimmer and Sapphire Blue, a bright sapphire.
In this post, I’m sharing my day appropriate Matte Look using some products from the L’Oreal Paris Cannes 2015 collection. On my lips, I’ve used a mix of the Moist Matte lipsticks Cherry Crush and Spring Rosette and on the eyes, I’ve used Diamond Black as an eye shadow base and liner. If I were to attend any red carpet event during the day, I’d go Indian all the way. A Sabyasachi saree, a bindi, Indian jewelry, black smokey eyes and light makeup. That would be my look and that’s what I’ve gone for here minus the Sabyasachi of course :). Let me know if you like it.
Have you tried any product from the L’Oreal Paris Cannes collection? And what look would you create for a red carpet event? Do share in the comments below.
