Last Thursday saw The Body Shop launching the newest addition to the Nutriganics range- The Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate. The official launch was done by the TBS ambassador Jaqueline Fernandez at the City Centre 1 store in the afternoon and knowing the media and crowd frenzy that would take place, chose to skip it and attend the blogger’s meet scheduled for the evening. TBS is well known for organising fun meets and this was no different. There was good food, fun activities and a lot of opportunities to take photos.
Blogger meets are always fun coz I get to meet everyone but the sad part is that these meets hardly take place in Kolkata. God knows why brands don’t find it worthwhile to engage with us Kolkata people. We buy your stuff too you know! Anyway, thanks to The Body Shop for organising such a fun event and even though I could not stay for a long time due to work, I had a very enjoyable time at the store.
The event started off by the lovely Aradhika Mehta explaining to us about the benefits of the Nutriganics Drops of Youth serum and the eye concentrate. Nutriganics Drops of Youth is great for anyone who would like to achieve smoother looking skin. It contains Criste-Marine plant stem and beech bud extracts, and is 99% organic. You need to apply 2-3 drops, let it sink in, and then put on your daily moisturizer. The result is glowing, smoother skin. The eye concentrate rejuvenates tired eyes, and firm the skin around the eyes. Extracts of Edelweiss flower, known for its re-generating skills, has gone into this eye concentrate, and over time, it reduces fine lines and puffiness.
Among the activities, I got an eye massage done which was so relaxing. Post the massage, I also got my makeup done. Since I was going back to work, the SA gave me a very subtle look which I loved. She used the new Gel liner on me and I was quite impressed by how creamy the liner was. After the makeup, I took a lot of photos with my fellow bloggers and the wonderful TBS team. Oh, and I also got a caricature done of myself by an artist who was present at the store. I had to sit patiently looking in one direction for nearly 30 mins but I utilised that time to taste the delicious munchies that were being passed around. There were mushroom tartlets, corn eclairs, chocolate raspberry tarts, chocolate cups filled with a light chocolate mousse and topped with a white chocolate ganache and chocolate cupcakes decorated with the Nutriganics range colors.I came straight from work and I had not eaten anything for nearly three hours so you can imagine how many of these went in to my stomach!
Before leaving, I was presented with the Nutriganics Drops of Youth Serum (2895/-) and Eye Concentrate (1995/-). Will review both these products after testing them out. Thanks Body Shop for the invite. I had a wonderful time at the meet.
Posting some of the pictures here. For more, check out The Body Shop’s Facebook page album.
