Barbeque by the Poolside at Cascades, Novotel Kolkata

January 27, 2017

Seated under the open sky holding a glass of mojito, chatting with friends and the smell of fresh grilled meat wafting by, “Yes, I think to myself, What a wonderful world“. An ambience as magical as the one at Cascades will do that to you. You will think all is well in the world, there are no worries and everything is perfect just as the Honey, Mustard and Soy marinated Chicken Breast and the Biryani served to you a little while later. Want to experience what I did last weekend? Go this Friday or Saturday and enjoy a Barbeque by the Poolside at Cascades, Novotel Kolkata.

Barbeque by the Poolside at Cascades, Novotel Kolkata

Here are the highlights of the menu:

Grills – Selection of meats, vegetables and sea food, peppers, zucchini, baby corn, corn on the cob, cottage cheese, tofu, beef medallions, chicken breast, fish pave, squids, pork loin, Cumberland and sage sausages with choice of marination

  • Satays – Choice of beef, chicken, fish, tofu and pineapple with peanut sauce
  • Balsamic and herb marinated grilled vegetables
  • Jacket potatoes with sour cream
  • Garlic bread along with a selection of artesian bread
  • Flavoured butters – garlic, herbs, orange and parsley
  • Biryanis and More
  • A selection of different varieties of noodles
  • Grilled white chocolate brownie with dark chocolate sauce
  • Crepe suzette
  • Grilled pineapple with coconut éspuma
  • Cognac flambéed fruit skewers

Give me a glass of white wine, some grilled meat and a dessert and I am sorted but if you need your carbs and more protein, definitely try the Chicken Biryani which is a mix of the Calcutta and Lucknow biryani. I also loved the Soba noodles at the Noodles section which came to me with a lot of fresh veggies. For dessert, nothing beats the good old brownie with chocolate sauce.
