Last Thursday saw The Body Shop launching the newest addition to the Nutriganics range- The Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate. The official launch was done by the TBS ambassador Jaqueline Fernandez at the City Centre 1 store in the afternoon and knowing the media and crowd frenzy that would take place, chose to skip it and attend the blogger’s meet scheduled for the evening. TBS is well known for organising fun meets and this was no different. There was good food, fun activities and a lot of opportunities to take photos.
Luxola is finally here in India! I got to know about Luxola a couple of years back while surfing the net for online shopping sites in Singapore. I was in the city visiting my brother’s family and wanted to see what all I could get delivered at home. The list of brands and the products available really impressed me and I was quite sad to see that they did not ship to India. Well, all that has changed now and you can get brands like Sigma, Zoeva, ZPalette, Mario Badescu, Sleek, Model’s Own etc. all delivered to your address straight from Singapore. And the best part is that they offer free shipping on orders over Rs 2300, you can opt for Cash on Delivery and you don’t have to pay customs since the duty is pre-paid. Oh wait, there’s another good news. All of you get 30% off storewide on your first order :D. Just enter the code BLX-DOLON at checkout. Please note that the Code is not valid on non-discountable brands like Sigma, Zoeva, Vichy and SkinCeuticals.
The Limited Edition MAC Matte Collection is soon launching in India (14th Nov in Kolkata to be precise) and I have one lipstick from that range for review today. Watch out for two more very soon. The collection has eight gorgeous shades but I went for colors that are unique and not similar to lipsticks I already own. And Styled in Sepia is a very unique shade.
MAC Styled in Sepia lipstick is described as a “dirty cement beige [with a Matte finish].” It is a muted, medium-dark brown with a hint of taupe. The color is very similar to a shade that MAC has discontinued – Shitake. At first glance, one will probably ignore this brown-gray color but it is actually quite flattering on Indian skin tones. And this is coming from someone who rarely finds n*ude lipsticks attractive!
Five days a week, my makeup is very boring – light brown shadow, black or dark brown eye pencil, MAC Studio Fix powder foundation and usually a neutral or a muted pink lip color. During weekends I love to play and that’s when my palettes, eye shadows, colored liners, foundation etc all come out. But there are weekends when I don’t feel like doing anything at all. Going out becomes a pain and I’d rather sit at home watching reruns of Two and a Half Men, sleeping and drinking endless cups of coffee. What do I do during those days? Well, I take the easy way out and finish off my makeup in only five minutes using four basic products.
